Develey stands for a values-driven corporate culture and actively promotes diversity – as a signatory of the “Diversity Charter” and through initiatives such as Diversity Day. Through workshops and events, we foster a culture of mutual respect – both within our company and in the communities where we operate. Children and young people are especially close to our hearts:
We support targeted initiatives that offer them opportunities – whether in sports, the arts, social engagement, or during difficult life situations.
In addition to routine workplace measures such as occupational health inspections and preventive medical check-ups, we also promote personal fitness. At our Unterhaching site, employees benefit from a corporate gym partnership and the option to lease a company bike. Participation is entirely flexible and tailored to individual needs. At several locations, our in-house canteens offer a varied and balanced selection of meals – including options for a vegan diet.
Our connection to Bavarian traditions is deeply rooted – almost part of our DNA. After all, the spark that ignited Develey’s success story came in 1854, when Johann Conrad Develey invented sweet mustard. To this day, it’s an essential part of the Munich Oktoberfest – and so is our own tradition of joining the festive parade to the Theresienwiese by horse-drawn carriage under the Develey banner.
Whether you're just starting out or already a senior professional, Develey supports personal and professional growth at all levels: through onboarding programs, workshops, coaching, and the Develey Academy.
Sustainability is part of our everyday work culture – for example, during our Sustainability Action Week, where creative ideas from employees emerge, such as using leftover pickle brine for winter road treatment. On-site sustainability ambassadors also help drive environmental and social awareness throughout the company.
Collaboration with universities and industry associations brings valuable insights and fresh perspectives – helping us and our partners grow. Through dialogue with young talent, research institutions, and networks, we gain new ideas, creative solutions, and inspiration for more sustainable business practices.
One example of this is our partnership with the Center for Sustainable Corporate Leadership and the Technical University of Munich (TUM).
