We’ve been continuously developing our sustainability strategy since 2008.
In the beginning, the focus was on reducing CO₂ emissions. Later, we introduced real alternatives such as geothermal energy, photovoltaics, and wind power. Today, we rely on our own renewable energy sources instead of carbon offsetting – a consistent and direct path toward true climate neutrality.
We also look beyond our own horizons and are aware of our social responsibility. That’s why we align the implementation of our sustainability concept with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which combine ecological, social, and economic objectives.
The following Sustainable Development Goals are of particular importance to us:
As part of our "People" pillar, we are committed to initiatives such as corporate health management, training and education, and equal opportunities for our employees.
As part of our "Environment" pillar, we have set ourselves the goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2025. We follow the environmental management standard DIN ISO 14001 and the energy management standard DIN ISO 50001 to continuously improve our environmental and energy performance.
As part of our "Regionality" pillar, we are actively involved in local communities, collaborate with network initiatives and associations, and develop sustainable, innovative products..
